WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE YOUR DOG SUPPLEMENTS

First of all, it's important to understand that not all dog food is made equally.

Much of the commercial dry dog food is full of corn, by-products, dyes, unhealthy preservatives, filler grains and all kinds of gross stuff.

Many of the commercial dog food manufacturers dump cheap leftovers and other things that aren't safe for human consumption (from human food processing plants) into their foods.

Will it kill your dog? Usually not because it has to meet some basic nutrition standards.

But is it healthy? Most of the time, NOT by a long shot and can cause many illnesses.

And, there are also some very good dog foods available on the market...see our "Buying All Natural Dog Food" section for some of them.

However, dogs can benefit from supplements for many of the very same reasons we do. Dogs need a healthy diet that's combined with the right amount of vitamins and minerals in order to prevent sickness, disease, and promote longevity.

If there are deficiencies in the correct vitamin and mineral balance, it usually shows up in poor health, allergies, illness and/or behavioral problems.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF  DOG SUPPLEMENTS:

* A good multi-vitamin and mineral complex given daily will ensure that your dog receives the additional supplementation his or her present diet may lack, as well as prepare the immune system to handle common ailments.

And many other additional additives included in a supplement such as OMEGA 3 oil, Probiotics, Key Amino Acids, JointSupport additives (including Glucosamine), and other Key Immunesupport ingredients all work together to support and help to maintain your dog's health...

* Vitamins are rich in antioxidants which fight free radicals and it's known free radicals can cause cancer.

Adding nutrients to your pet's food when he or she is sick helps the body to fight the disease and get well much faster.

* Vitamins are essential to your dog's overall vitality.

Without the micronutrients needed to build the body, fight infection and relieve stress, our dog's are more susceptible to
  various diseases.

Unfortunately, many dog owners only supplement their dogs when an illness (usually caused by a  vitamin or mineral deficiency) arises.

Though better than never supplementing at all, you may not see any immediate results if you wait until an illness arises. It requires some time for the supplements to take effect and somecaregivers don't have the patience to wait for results

We advise dog owners to consider a dog supplement for their dogs before an illness strikes. Prevention is always better than cure. Not only this will save you money and headaches in the long run, but your dog will enjoy many more healthy and happy days.

Remember, your dog cannot make his or her own health decisions, they rely on you to do what is best for them.

DOGS RULE!!!
